Table Talk

I have recently come across this resource , please explore this website and have a look. I have used the game for 12-14s. I have a quote at the front of my notebook from Abraham Lincoln, “As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew.” There is no doubt that our culture has gone through radical shifts in the last few decades, this demands that we rethink and redesign how we share the good new of Jesus with those around us. I believe conversation is key to this, whereas in the past we may just have expected people to listen. These games “Table talk” from the Ugly Duckling company help us to do that by chatting about big questions of life, I think many children get disengaged with church (if they ever were engaged!) partly due to us not chatting with them in this way around these questions.

Top Ten Games

Top ten games for teenagers and children, with a few wee pointers as to how to make games really good.

Icebreaker ball

Chatting together is so important in youth ministry. This inflatable beach ball can help you do that! Throw the ball around the circle and when you catch it you answer the question at your right thumb. There are lots of fun and thought provoking questions and a good mix of spiritual and every day ones. Well worth having in your games cupboard.
